After visiting the Museum, members of the Youth Union of the Ho Chi Minh City Sports and Training Center joined with the members of the War Remnants Museum to participate in an exchange with Ms. Le Tu Cam, a former female political prisoner of Con Dao, former Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Information, Chairman of the Cultural Heritage Association of Ho Chi Minh City.
During the activity, union members listened to former female political prisoner Le Tu Cam talk about her revolutionary path, the process of being held in prison, overcoming difficulties in harsh prison conditions, and believing in herself to victory, to the peace of the nation. Thereby, she also sent a message to the young generation about the ideal of living, studying and dedicating to the present cause of national construction and defense.
The event is one of the activities to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, and at the same time helps union members learn and strengthen their own documents about the struggle for national independence, the spirit of voluntary self-sacrificing, unyielding sacrifices before the prison regime in the wars to invade Vietnam of previous generations through the narration of former female political prisoner Le Tu Cam, thereby enhancing the education of revolutionary ideals; focus on promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style among union members; contribute to a change in awareness and action, join hands in building and defending the socialist Fatherland, building a strong Union.
