To commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2017), the 127th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2017), and the 62nd liberation anniversary of Hai Phong City (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2017), the War Remnants Museum, in collaboration with the Hai Phong Museum, organized a special exhibition entitled "Hai Phong - At the Forefront".
The exhibition aims to introduce the public, both in Vietnam and internationally, to the city of Haiphong during the war, highlighting how it overcame challenges and contributed to the struggle for independence and freedom alongside the citizens and military of the South. The exhibition also informs the public about Haiphong's development and growth as a modern industrial port city, serving as one of the key centers of the Northern Economic Region and the nation as a whole.
The exhibition includes 213 photographs and 70 artifacts, and it will be open to visitors from April 15, 2017, to June 30, 2017.
