On April 17, 2017, the War Remnants Museum organized a discussion with Major General Nguyễn Đức Huy, a veteran and Chief of Staff of the Vị Xuyên Border Front in Hà Giang.
During the discussion, Major General Nguyễn Đức Huy provided the museum's staff with numerous documents and narratives about his participation in two wars of resistance against the French and American forces, as well as in the two conflicts to protect the northern border (February 1979 - March 5, 1982; April 1984 - May 1989).
