On July 21, 2017, the War Remnants Museum held a seminar entitled “The War Remnants Museum’s Experience of Financial Autonomy” so as to make an initial assessment of its full financial autonomy from 2014 to 2017 (based on Decree No. 43/2006/NĐ-CP issued by the Government), then exchange and find ways for future application at the Museum itself and other museums.
Representatives for the Culture and Heritage Bureau under Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture and Sports, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, other museums in Ho Chi Minh City, and reporters from newspapers and televisions joined the War Remnants Museum’s staff in the event.
The seminar program included:
1. An initial assessment of the financial autonomy of the War Remnants Museum from 2014 to 2017;
2. Discussions of the Museum’s departments on their experiences of financial autonomy;
3. Discussions of the representatives from the Ho Chi Minh Museum, and other ones in Ho Chi Minh City.
