On the occasion of commemorating the 45th anniversary of the passing of President Ton Duc Thang (14th February 1980 - 14th February 2025, Lunar Calendar) and in anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (30th April 1975 - 30th April 2025), the War Remnants Museum, in collaboration with the Management Board of the Ton Duc Thang Memorial Site, organized the opening ceremony of the special exhibition titled “The Imprint of President Ton Duc Thang in the 1975 Spring Victory” at the Ton Duc Thang Memorial Site on the morning of 12th March 2025.
Encompassing nearly 100 historical images and documents, the exhibition presents to the public a period of arduous, protracted, and valiant struggle against the United States by the Vietnamese military and people on the military, political, and diplomatic fronts under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It particularly highlights the significance of the 1975 Spring Victory obtained through the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, which compelled the United States and the Republic of Vietnam government to engage in negotiations, leading to the signing of the Paris Peace Accords, thereby ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam. Furthermore, the exhibition portrays the profound imprint of President Tôn Đức Thắng on the joyous day of the nation's great victory.
The exhibition is scheduled to commence on March 12, 2025, and will conclude on May 31, 2025.
We extend a cordial invitation to all visitors to attend and explore the exhibition.
