To mark the 43rd anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, September 2, the War Remnants Museum brought the touring exhibition “Waging Peace: U.S. Soldiers and Veterans who Opposed America’s War in Vietnam” to An Giang University from August 30 to September 30, 2018.
It is a message of peace and a meaningful undertaking as the relationship between Vietnam and America has improved and developed in many fields; and all cultural exchanges among progressive peace activists, veterans and those associated with reconciliation, healing and overcoming the consequences of the war have helped to promote and develop the relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The exhibition was aimed at introducing the anti-war movement of the U.S. soldiers and veterans during the America’s war of aggression against Vietnam to the scientists attending the conference entitled “Human Philosophy of People in the Southern Region, Vietnam”, and the students attending the University’s Opening Ceremony.
