The thematic exhibition “War Relics from the Resistance Era” offers visitors a unique opportunity to connect with the past and gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by Vietnamese patriots, soldiers, and citizens during the anti-U.S. resistance war.
The flower vases and pots crafted from shell casings, along with everyday items such as water canteens, lighters, hammocks, document bags, radios, and medical supplies used by military and civilian medical personnel, as well as performance props from cultural and artistic troupes and handmade gifts sent by prisoners in American and South Vietnamese jails to their families, along with letters exchanged between the home front and the battlefield, all evoke warm and poignant memories of a tumultuous era. This period was characterized by brave individuals who were willing to sacrifice themselves for noble ideals, embodying an optimistic spirit and unwavering faith in the nation’s victory.
