To celebrate important days in April and May in 2017 such as the 42nd anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2017), the 131st Labour Day (May 1, 1886 - 2017) and the 127th birthday of President Hồ Chí Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2017), the War Remnants Museum’s Youth Union Branch engaged in activities as follows:
1. Attending opening ceremonies and talks on specific themes at other museums.
2. Attending an art performance organized by the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association at the headquarters of HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations which aimed at raising funds for Ánh Dương Orphanage, and a similar event in the celebration of 45 years of Vietnam - India diplomatic relations at Saigon Opera House.
3. Attending the art performance to mark the 100th day after the death of Associate Professor and songwriter Ca Lê Thuần.
4. Working with the University of Medicine Phạm Ngọc Thạch’s Youth Union Branch to hold an exhibition entitled “Ho Chi Minh’s Aspiration for Peace” from May 4 to 6, 2017.
5. Conducting a ceremony to admit a new member, Trà Trương Quỳnh Quân, to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on May 8, 2017.
