In early August 2017, the War Remnants Museum cooperated with Toshiaki Uchimoto, vice-principal of Mikanodai Junior High School, Kawachinagano City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and some members in the Project “White Doves Carry Peace” to perform a wall decoration in the “White Doves”, a chamber for children’s peace education at the Museum. The project aimed to renovate the space for local and foreign children to play and learn during their visits to the museum.

In order to strengthen the relationship between the project’s participants and the Museum staff, including members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the museum organized a cultural exchange so that they could perform musical activities with one another. Many Vietnamese artists were also invited to the event. The exchange ended in success, leaving Japanese and Vietnamese artists in full of happy memories.
