This morning (December 16, 2022), the War Remnants Museum held the opening ceremony of a thematic exhibition: "Dien Bien Phu in the Air - A Fifty-year Flashback"
Through 189 images, documents, and artifacts, the Museum hopes to give visitors a panoramic view of the campaign. "Dien Bien Phu in the Air" on the 50th anniversary of this historic victory.
The display introduces stories about the pain and loss caused by bombs and bullets; about the country's flexible adaptation during the firestorm; about the determination and resilience of the Vietnamese people in their efforts to defeat the US military's strategic B-52 raid half a century ago.
The event also continues the War Remnants Museum's mission of conveying the message of peace. Thereby, visitors can see the spirit of solidarity and friendship of Vietnam and the world through the support of the world's people, including the American people, for the fight for independence and freedom. caused by Vietnam, as well as efforts to heal the wounds of war between former pilots of the two countries in peacetime.
It is expected that the display will be open from December 16, 2022 to June 16, 2023.
