In order to carry out its public policy for the youth, the War Remnants Museum cooperated with Professor Michiko Yoshii from Japan on organizing visits and exchanges between the students being victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Fukushima, Japan, in 2011 and the disabled children from Ky Quang Pagoda and the victims of Agent Orange from An Phúc Shelter. Accompanied by the teachers and students from the Vietnamese - American Secondary School (in Ho Chi Minh City), they paid a visit to Phú An Bamboo Village in Bình Dương Province, and had an exchange with the students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture.

Through the exchanging and visiting activities, the students all shared their stories about how they had overcome hardships after the earthquake and tsunami disaster, and gotten back to their daily life. It was through the shares that helped Vietnamese students to better understand the impact of earthquakes and tsunamis, and learned the perseverance to overcome difficulties from the Japanese students.
