In order to promote the effectiveness of the thematic exhibition "The wave of protest against America's unjust war in Vietnam", the War Remnants Museum coordinated with the Union of Friendship Organizations in Ho Chi Minh City and the Peace Foundation. and development of Ho Chi Minh City and the American Veterans for Peace organization (VFP) organized a dialogue on the topic: "Remembering the past and building the future" on the morning of March 20, 2018 with about 100 people. Attendees include Vietnam veterans, American veterans and former Vietnamese political prisoners.

The dialogue not only marked a close cooperative relationship between the War Remnants Museum, the Union of Friendship Organizations in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Fund and the Veterans for Veterans Organization.
