Patriotism, love for the people, all for the country, for the people is the red thread that runs through Ho Chi Minh's thought. The War Remnants Museum practically contributes to building Ho Chi Minh's cultural space in Ho Chi Minh City

War Remnants Museum (currently located at 28 Vo Van Tan, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) opened its doors to visitors from September 4, 1975, just a few months after the South was completely liberated and unified, the Vietnamese people entered a new era: an era of peace, independence and freedom. Up to now, after nearly 50 years of operation, the War Remnants Museum currently has more than 20,000 image signs, articles and artifacts, serving more than 1 million visitors each year.

Especially, at the War Remnants Museum, every time we start any research, collection, display or exhibition work, we always look for the "Ho Chi Minh Complete Collection". This not only comes from "principles", from "processes", but in fact, President Ho Chi Minh was very interested in the crime and consequences of the invading forces in Vietnam. He is also an example of a lifetime of fighting for peace for the Vietnamese people and people around the world.

During the war years, President Ho Chi Minh both commanded the resistance war against the French colonialists and the American invaders, and he also came to the people of friend countries to lay the foundation for a peaceful foreign policy of a very young Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh opened his arms to welcome international delegations, truth-loving journalists during the war, and peace activists who came to Vietnam even during the fierce war years. Ho Chi Minh dreamed of peace for the Vietnamese people and aspired for peace for all mankind, especially the colonial countries that have been fighting for independence and freedom. "Peace" in Ho Chi Minh's heart is not just an end to unjust war, Peace must be synonymous with independence, freedom, national reunification, people's well-being and happiness. Peace also means solidarity and friendship among the people of the world, with the progress and equality of all mankind.

Over thousands of years of history of nation building and defense, the Vietnamese people have always been well aware of the value of peace. From the lessons learned in the history of the nation's diplomatic struggle, Ho Chi Minh formed a diplomatic ideology of peace and friendship. He has planned foreign policy, foreign policy and activities to make the decisive factors for the victory of the struggle for peace for Vietnam. President Ho Chi Minh is a symbol of Vietnam's aspiration for peace, friendship and cooperation among the peoples of the world. And this main content has been built by the War Remnants Museum to create the thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for peace" in 2010 in order to contribute to the public's full and deeper awareness of peaceful ideology and diplomacy, especially Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for peace. Not only stopping at a thematic exhibition, the Museum is also built into a traveling exhibition serving a large number of students in and out of the city over the years.

Practically building the Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space in Ho Chi Minh City, the War Remnants Museum continues to successfully promote the thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for peace", with documents, pictures and stories expressing Ho Chi Minh's peaceful aspirations from the time he started to find a way to save the country until he died.

The Vietnamese people have always been a peace-loving nation. This humanistic tradition is forged from the thousands of years of Vietnamese history and has been followed by generations of ancestors from the past to the present. Even when having to wage war to protect the country's independence and freedom, the entire Vietnamese nation still has a strong desire for peace. And Ho Chi Minh has excellently inherited that fine tradition of the nation as well as raised it to a new height. Peace is also a wish that the whole world longs for and cherishes; especially when wars become ever more catastrophic. It is because of this that UNESCO has decided to honor Ho Chi Minh - who dedicated his life to the cause of the struggle for peace, independence, democracy and social progress - before all humanity. Among millions of Vietnamese people, only you can have such great honor. Ho Chi Minh has become a shining example of aspiration for peace not only for the Vietnamese people but also for the whole world to learn and follow.

Thematic exhibition "Ho Chi Minh's Aspiration for Peace" when brought to schools, industrial parks, export processing zones, all units can create a cultural space of Ho Chi Minh there. Each of these Ho Chi Minh cultural spaces will be maintained for a period of time appropriate to each unit. In the period from 2022 to the end of the first quarter of 2023, the mobile cultural space "Ho Chi Minh's Aspiration for Peace" was brought to 05 schools. At the same time, from the contents researched and built, the War Remnants Museum also supported the implementation of Ho Chi Minh Cultural space for Truong Quyen Primary School. Following the above effect, the Museum has now completed the content and design and is waiting for comments from the National University Board of Director for implementation and a number of other schools are also contacting the Museum to request support for the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh cultural space.

By conveying a close and understandable message, the cooperation in implementing Ho Chi Minh cultural space at schools has been contributing to the comprehensive development of students in terms of personality, morality, living responsibly with family, community, society, and preventing violence in the family and school. Peace is not the absence of war, but peace is understood in a broad sense as the absence of violence, conflict, and contradiction.

In the future, besides carrying out the traveling exhibition "Ho Chi Minh's aspiration for peace", the War Remnants Museum will research and apply technology, put "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" online through the following forms: online museum, website, fanpage, Facebook page, YouTube, etc. to share photos, video clips, documentaries about President Ho Chi Minh, his teachings about love for peace, love for the homeland, country and people. Thereby, people all over the country, especially teenagers, can approach, learn, learn and follow his ideas, ethics and style.

In general, building "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" is building both tangible and intangible culture, on the basis of preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, combined with selectively absorbing the world's cultural quintessence, thereby, reinforcing the city's cultural values, building a healthy cultural environment, creating conditions for people to develop comprehensively in terms of personality and morality. This is a source of endogenous strength, creating motivation for the work, construction and development of the City. That is an important foundation for every citizen to be proud of the rhythm of life in the city named after Uncle Ho. War Remnants Museum will always make practical efforts to contribute to the success of the construction and organization of activities at Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces in the city.
